Sculpture To Wear creates the finest equestrian jewellery
Known previously for her accomplishment as a sculptor of Equine
Bronzes, Rosemary Hetherington decided to make her exclusive work more
accessible by crafting much smaller models to turn into pieces of precious
jewellery. Today her collection comprises brooches, pins, necklaces and
pendants, earrings and bracelets that reflect different facets of equine
design. Each painstakingly made model, whether in 18 carat or 9 carat
gold or silver, is three-dimensional and all are authenticated with
Rosemary Hetherington’s signature.
COLLECTION MUST-HAVES
Sculpture to Wear’s Limited Editions are much sort-after
by collectors worldwide, because of the accuracy of the
representations and the wearability of the designs:
‘Two of the most important things to me are attention to
detail and quality. My whole life has revolved
around horses.
‘As well as my love of riding, judging show horses
has always been a major part of my life and so it
is extremely important to me that I ensure that
my pieces are as accurate as possible.’
Sculptures to Wear’s beautiful equestrian
pieces convey an unusual combination of
timeless elegance and reassuring strength:
‘From the very beginning I wanted my
jewellery to be different. In stark contrast
to the flimsy pieces one sees, my jewellery
is solid, tactile and beautifully finished.
solid, tactile and beautifully finished
‘I take great care in finding the
right craftsmen to produce each
piece, and they share my passion for
perfectionism. I work with the same
artisans today that I did 20 years
ago, and our uncompromising love of
fine jewellery has turned Sculpture
to Wear into the leading brand of
Equestrian jewellery.’
OUTSTANDING ACCESSORIES
It is often said that necklaces
afford the jewellery-maker the
maximum creative opportunity,
and Rosemary Hetherington is no
exception to this, excelling in each
of her many designs: ‘The Farrier’s
Nail necklace is a classic and a real
favorite. It can be worn formally
or informally and is simple and
stylish in gold, or dazzling set with
diamonds for evening chic.’
Each themed necklace has a
matching bracelet, bangle, earrings
and rings and is a sought-after gift
to commemorate special occasions.
Each reflects some part of the spirit
and beauty of the horse, with an
integrity that is recognised by horse
lovers everywhere.
Versatility is characteristic of
the equestrian designs. Rosemary
has successfully married modern
technology with the ancient art
of vitreous enamelling. She has
designed a luxurious collection
of 18 carat gold Bands featuring
galloping horses, snaffle bits,
show- jumping and dressage
horses – just some of the intricate
and unique patterns on these
beautiful bands, enamelled in
rich colours.
RACING SILKS
Racehorse owners love to have
their own racing colours put onto a
brooch or cufflinks. By using vitreous
enamels carefully matched to their
silks, Sculpture to Wear can create
a lasting memory of those exciting
racing days.
Sculpture to Wear can be easily
found at the Cheltenham National
Hunt Festival, the Badminton or
Burghley Horse trials or at any of
the major horse shows, including the
Royal Dublin Horse Show in Ireland
and Horse of the Year Show. Clients
can easily recognise the pieces:they
are as timeless, beautiful and strong
as the horses to which they so
wonderfully pay homage. |
